The Dakota, New York City’s most exclusive cooperative apartment building located on the northwest corner of 72nd Street and Central Park West in the Upper West Side of Manhattan, is undergoing renovation. The building has long been home to numerous artists and celebrities and is perhaps best known as the site where John Lennon lived and is remembered.
Everest Scaffolding is leading the renovation efforts, no small undertaking for a building where the elite put apartments on the market for millions of dollars. According to Jimmy Downes, president of Everest, Strong Man was the only choice when it came to safety netting for the project.
“The renovations on this landmark need to be made using the safest products available. I would only trust Strong Man for such an important job like the Dakota.”
Everest Scaffolding chose the SBN-22 debris netting for the job.
Celebrities from Billy Joel and Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas have been denied residency to the elite building. Strong Man, however, made the cut.
