Strong Man Protects NYC Landmark

St. Thomas Church 2016-05-11-3One of New York’s most beautiful landmarks, the Saint Thomas Church on 53rd Street in Manhattan has stood for more than a century, but the parish it serves is even older. Established in NYC in 1823, Saint Thomas’ is known for its stunning gothic architecture, and for its choral and organ concerts. Its doors are open year round, offering nearly 1,000 worship services each year.

The historic church is in the middle of an on-going restoration project. A project such as this, involving workers at great heights and with a precious landmark to protect, calls for the utmost care and attention.

So naturally, when Eagle Scaffolding knew they would be working on Saint Thomas church, they chose Strong Man safety products.

Our SBN-22 Fire-Retardant Safety Netting is lightweight and flexible, yet strong. It’s made from knitted high-density polyethylene mesh and comes with a reinforced border. That means the church, and even more importantly, workers and passerby, are protected from any potential debris.

We, here at Strong Man, are very excited to be a part of such important work and look forward to seeing the finished product!
