Spotted: Strong Man Safety Products protecting workers, pedestrians and property during an important and unique demolition project.
Superior Scaffolding has completed phase one of their scaffolding, shoring and mast-climber job for the Penn Tower Hotel demolition. When they began, they turned to Strong Man for the superior debris netting needed to keep everyone safe.
The Penn Tower Hotel is being torn down to make room for the new Hospital Pavilion at the University of Pennsylvania, a $1.2 billion facility that will double the amount of bed space for the UPenn hospital and add 50 new operating rooms.
The demolition likely won’t look like what you’re imagining. Instead, the hotel is being dismantled from the top down and from the inside out. This is to accommodate for the structure’s location in a highly trafficked area surrounded by other buildings that need to remain open.
We want to thank Superior Scaffolding for their continued partnership. We look forward to providing for the safety needs of many more fascinating projects to come.
