A market study released by the Metal Construction Association reports that, in the coming year, the nonresidential construction industry will return to peak levels not seen in a decade.
This was reported by industry news outlet Construction Superintendent, that claims the residential market is soon to follow, though at a more steady pace. This comes as great news to stakeholders across the board, with the entire construction industry showing a reliable uptick.
While the market heavily depends on economic factors like interest rates, housing growth and consumer spending, growth in nonresidential construction is poised to reach 8%—or $1.4 trillion—by the close of 2016.
This Study comes as welcome news to Strong Man, whose business is directly tied to the strength of the construction industry. Strong Man products are used across the country in both the residential and nonresidential sectors.
The Study points to specific areas of the country where construction volume and growth rate are seeing significant increases. Commonalities across these areas include the number of technical jobs and ties with universities.
