This past April marked the groundbreaking for The Modern’s second tower at 100 Park Avenue in Fort Lee, New Jersey. The 47-story, 496-foot, glass-clad tower will consist of 450 studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom units and is a twin of an existing tower that opened a year and a half ago at 800 Park Avenue.
The original tower had a strong hand in transforming Fort Lee into a more vibrant community and destination area, and the new tower is expected to deliver an additional jolt of energy, income and activity in the Fort Lee area.
However, during construction, high traffic areas naturally require high safety standards. That’s why on-site contractor Power Fast turned to Strong Man.
Orange on the Horizon
Strong Man’s SBN-22 orange debris safety netting is visible from upper Manhattan, across the Hudson River. More important, however, is that the SBN-22 offers construction and jobsite protection, debris, worker, and pedestrian safety and scaffold enclosure. In other words, the cost-effective, UV-treated product is doing its duty, protecting both the workers and the citizens of Fort Lee. Completion of The Modern’s second tower is expected in the summer of 2018.
“It’s always exciting to see our product on a new project, and the second Modern tower is going to be breathtaking in its scope, so we’re particularly proud to have a small hand in it,” says Strong Man CEO Jay Kinder. “We’ve worked with Power Fast for more than 25 years and have done some amazing projects together. This is one more to add to the list.”
SBN-22 is Strong Man’s most popular debris netting. With hole openings of approximately 1/4″, it meets NYC Local Law #61 and OSHA requirements and is available in both fire-retardant and non-fire-retardant.
If you can build it or work on it, SBN-22 can protect it. Stay strong all year long–choose Strong Man!
